Anvilogic review: detection engineering across SIEMs and data lakes
AI agents to onboard, search, detect and investigate across SIEMs and data lakes, with detection-as-code.
Editorial assessment · From vendor product pages, docs and announcements · Updated 2026-10-18
What does Anvilogic do?
Anvilogic says it 'runs AI automation across every SOC workload: onboard, search, detect, and investigate on top of the data and tools you already have.' It was founded in 2019, and version 8.0 of the platform is generally available.
The work is split across agents. Onboard agents parse, normalize and map new data sources. Search agents run 'one query across Splunk, Snowflake, Sentinel, S3, and more, without moving the data.' Detect agents go 'from threat intel to validated, deployed detection logic on every connected platform.' Investigate agents handle triage, enrichment and severity scoring before an analyst opens the case. Blueprints chain agents into step-by-step workflows.
On detection engineering it publishes: 'Thousands of MITRE-mapped detections', 'coverage scoring vs MITRE ATT&CK' and 'Detection-as-Code with version control'. It can run on top of an existing storage layer, standalone, or in combination.

How does Anvilogic score?
Hunt automation
25%6 / 10Search and Detect agents turn intelligence into detections; the pages we reviewed do not describe a separate continuous hunting workflow.
Works across existing SIEM and data lakes
20%9 / 10The broadest named list: four SIEMs, six data lakes and three object stores, searched without moving the data.
Joint highest in field
Analyst effort saved
15%8 / 10Investigate agents triage and enrich before an analyst opens the case; the vendor states under 2 minutes per alert.
ATT&CK coverage evidence
10%9 / 10Thousands of MITRE-mapped detections plus coverage scoring against ATT&CK.
Detection-as-code workflow
10%9 / 10Detection-as-code with version control is stated on the platform page.
Highest in field
Deployment
10%7 / 10Runs on top of the storage layer as augment, standalone or both; no published deployment timeline.
Pricing transparency
10%3 / 10No license price; a public calculator estimates data-lake costs only.

Where Anvilogic scores lower
- Hunt automation (6 of 10): the pages we reviewed describe search, detection and investigation agents, not continuous hunts that run on their own. Mars and Nebulock score 9.
- Deployment (7 of 10): flexible deployment models, but no published time to first value.
- Pricing transparency (3 of 10): the calculator helps estimate data costs, but there is no license price.
What does Anvilogic publish about ATT&CK coverage?
Anvilogic states 'Thousands of MITRE-mapped detections' and coverage scoring against ATT&CK, but its public pages do not break coverage down by tactic.
Who should shortlist Anvilogic?
Good fit if
- Detection engineering across several SIEMs and data lakes is the main job.
- You want coverage scoring and a large mapped detection library.
- Your team already works in a detection-as-code style.
Look elsewhere if
- You want hunts to run continuously without an analyst starting them (Mars, Nebulock).
