Privacy Policy

What personal data this site handles, and what it does not.

1. Who we are

Threat Hunting Tools (threathuntingtools.com) is published by Alegria Media and Consulting Ltd. ("we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us through the contact form.

The site has no user accounts, no payments and no comments. You can read every page and use the calculator and comparison tools without giving us any personal data.

2. What we collect

  • Contact form messages. If you write to us, we receive your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message. For copyright notices we also receive the extra details the form asks for, including the work, the URL of the material and your electronic signature.
  • Hosting logs. Our hosting provider records technical data automatically when a page is requested: IP address, browser and device details, the page requested, the referring page and the time. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running.
  • Google Fonts. Pages load the Zilla Slab, Chivo and Chivo Mono typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). When the fonts load, Google receives your IP address and browser details. Google Fonts does not set cookies for this.

The site does not run analytics, advertising pixels or any other tracking script, and it does not set cookies. The calculator and comparison tools do not save anything in your browser storage: calculator weights live only in the open page, and a comparison selection is kept in the page address (for example ?v=vega, cotool) so you can share it. See the Cookie Policy.

4. Who we share it with

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers that run the site on our behalf.
  • The form delivery provider that passes contact messages to us, once the form is connected.
  • Authorities, courts or advisers where the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country with appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep it

We keep contact messages for as long as we need to handle them, then delete them. Hosting logs are kept for a limited period set by the hosting provider.

7. Your rights

  • EU and UK: you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent and complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.
  • California (CCPA as amended by the CPRA): you can ask to know what we collect, to delete it and to correct it, and to opt out of sale or sharing, which we do not do. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
  • You can also use rights you have under other privacy laws that apply to you.

To use any of these rights, send a message through the contact form and choose "Privacy request". We may ask for details to confirm the request is yours.

8. Children

The site is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Questions go through the contact form.
