Artemis Security review: continuous threat hunting and autonomous investigation
Continuous hunts and autonomous investigation over a mix of ingested and in-place data.
Editorial assessment · From vendor product pages, docs and announcements · Updated 2026-10-18
What does Artemis Security do?
Artemis describes an 'AI-native Protection Platform designed to dramatically reduce MTTD and MTTR for modern threats.' It builds a model of the customer's environment from authoritative systems and correlates signals across identity, cloud, endpoint and SaaS.
Hunting is continuous: 'continuous hunts run daily against a growing library and the 100+ intelligence feeds.' When a campaign is published, Artemis 'reads the report, maps it to your telemetry, hunts retroactively for TTPs and IOCs.' Analysts can also ask ad hoc questions in natural language.
Its data model is hybrid: 'Hot-path data that detection depends on is ingested directly. High-volume data is queried where it already lives.' The connectors page states 240+ connectors. Investigations run autonomously with reasoning chains and evidence, and response actions are staged for human confirmation. Artemis says connectors go live 'in under an hour' with 'real cases inside 48 hours.' Its announcement reports $70 million in combined seed and Series A funding, with the Series A led by Felicis.

How does Artemis Security score?
Hunt automation
25%8 / 10Daily continuous hunts drawing on 100+ intelligence feeds, plus natural-language ad hoc hunts.
Works across existing SIEM and data lakes
20%6 / 10240+ connectors, but detection-critical data is ingested; only high-volume data is queried in place.
Analyst effort saved
15%9 / 10Autonomous investigation with reasoning chains and evidence; response actions wait for human confirmation.
Highest in field
ATT&CK coverage evidence
10%7 / 10Claims comprehensive MITRE coverage from day one; no public coverage view.
Detection-as-code workflow
10%5 / 10Detections are written and tuned automatically; no detection-as-code workflow is described.
Deployment
10%8 / 10Vendor states connectors go live in under an hour and real cases arrive inside 48 hours.
Pricing transparency
10%2 / 10No public price.
Where Artemis Security scores lower
- Detection-as-code workflow (5 of 10): detections are generated and tuned automatically; review, versioning and CI are not described publicly.
- Works across existing data (6 of 10): the data detections depend on is ingested into Artemis; only high-volume data is queried in place.
- ATT&CK coverage evidence (7 of 10): a broad claim without a public coverage view.
- Pricing transparency (2 of 10): no public price.
What does Artemis Security publish about ATT&CK coverage?
Artemis claims 'comprehensive MITRE coverage from day one' but does not name tactics on its public pages.
Who should shortlist Artemis Security?
Good fit if
- You want hunting and case investigation handled in one platform.
- You are comfortable with detection-critical data being ingested.
Look elsewhere if
- Your detection engineers need rules in their own git workflow.
